We were asked to refurbish the lower-ground level of the McCann Erickson Advertising Headquarters to create an in-house edit facility. The brief was to create a new facility which would not only transform an under-used space within the building, but act as a new creative hub and meeting space, forming a new corporate identity to be rolled out throughout the building.
A series of seven editing suites are presented as individual units with shop fronts onto an interior streetscape. Casual seating is built-in to the streetscape structure to encourage informal meeting and discussion.
The new editing suite reintroduced an industrial aesthetic, stripping out the plasterboard, compartmentalised fit out and replacing it with a more dynamic and creative environment.
The project won Best Interior workspace at the FX Design Awards 2006.
