Regent Street Windows

Sampling NYC.

CTA were selected to work with American Men’s fashion brand Jack Spade as part of the RIBA Regent Street Windows programme 2013.

We were very taken by the collection of Americana that are housed alongside the for-sale-items in the Jack Spade Store. Our project continues this curatorial approach layering sampled NYC architectural motifs throughout the store.

On the drawing board

A very busy start to the new year. We have commenced concept design for 8 new clients, including a rooftop pavillion in Shoreditch, the refurbishment and extension of the Grade II Listed Coach House at Scadbury Estate and are working with Crumbles Castle in Islington on proposals to provide a new workshop space for this community adventure playground and after school facility.

We are also helping London Orchard Project with their plans to create a new space at Hackney City Farm.

We are also looking forward to taking part in several exhibitions, publishing a book about Slip House and continuing to lecture at several Universities.

WAN Shortlist for Slip House

Slip House has made the shortlist (last 6) of the prestigious WAN (World) House of the Year 2012 awards. It is the only urban house on the list and we await the outcome with excitement.

The house has been designed to Code for Sustainable Homes level 5, and is an exemplar for brownfield, terraced regeneration. We have developed the concept with Slip Street, showing how this flexible house type can form new streets, squares and pocket parks.

We invite Housing Associations and Developers to explore a simplified version of this affordable terraced housing typology with us.

The house was also part of Open House 2012 and Green Sky Thinking.
